At thanksgiving, you can always use a traditional recipe and top it off with a new frosting. Everyone loves a good old cupcake or layer cake with cream cheese frosting. #Baking
Ingredients
¼ cup sugar
2 chai tea bags
3 cardamom pods
1 cinnamon stick
8oz cream cheese, room temperature
1 stick butter, room temperature
¾ cup powdered sugar
½ tsp Madagascar bourbon pure vanilla extract
1 tsp honey
2 tbsp decorative gold sugar
Directions
combine sugar, 5 tbsp water, chai tea bags, cardamom pods and cinnamon stick in a small saucepan; bring it to boil over medium heat.
continuously stirring to make sure sugar dissolves and. Turn off heat and let it sit for another 20 mins
Squeeze tea bag to extract all the flavour, remove cardamom pods and cinnamon stick
In Ventray Stand mixer bowl, add in butter and cream cheese, sugar, vanilla beat at a medium high speed until they are no longer in large chunks
Add in Chai syrup and blend until completely smooth
