Banana Chocolate Date loaf

Chocolate and Date make this traditional banana loaf recipe taste incredibly amazing.

  1. In Ventray blender, blend banana, vanilla, buttermilk, maple syrup, half of chopped dates until completely smooth
  2. Sift flour, cocoa powder, soda, baking powder into Ventray Stand Mixer mixing bowl, add in banana mixture and remaining dates, whisk using medium low speed
  3. Add in nuts, rolled oats, dates, blend until fully mixed.
  4. Spoon batter into pan, smooth surface

Oven Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F, grease and line a 4 by 8 inch loaf pan
  2. Baking for 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean

  1. ½ cup chopped walnuts
  2. ½ cup rolled oats
  3. 1 tbsp coconut oil
  4. 1 tbsp maple syrup
  5. 1 ripe banana, mashed
  6. 2 tsp vanilla extract
  7. ¾ cup buttermilk
  8. 200g dates, pitted, chopped
  9. 2 cups self-raising flour
  10. 1 tsp baking soda
  11. 1½ tsp baking powder
  12. 1 tbsp cocoa powder
